This masterclass focuses on the technical and artistic foundations of character sculpting in a digital environment. You will work with ZBrush to build anatomically accurate models
while developing your understanding of form, proportion, and surface detail.
The curriculum covers primary and secondary forms, working from base meshes through high-resolution sculpts. Sessions examine muscle structure, facial anatomy, and clothing folds with
practical demonstrations. You will learn efficient brush techniques, subdivision workflows, and methods for maintaining clean topology throughout the sculpting process.
Advanced modules address retopology strategies, UV mapping considerations, and preparing high-poly models for texturing pipelines. The course includes critiques of work-in-progress
models and troubleshooting common technical issues that emerge during production.
By completion, you will have created multiple character busts and a full-body model suitable for portfolio presentation. The approach emphasises production-ready techniques used in
film, games, and commercial visualization studios.
